Bestor Art Park Ribbon Cutting
October 30, 2004

The ribbon cutting event for the new Bestor Art Park at South 6th & Bestor St in San Jose, near downtown, about six blocks from my place. Yay cool parks! I dropped by and took some photos; here are a few of them.

Related to these, there are also photos from the San Jose Library opening last year.

The art piece with the fish shapes in the sidewalk was organized together by Tony May of San Jose State U:

"...``South Fished Street'' features 36 bronze and stainless steel elements depicting native fish embedded in the green colored concrete park sidewalk. The 13 students from the Art in Community class were responsible for design, fabrication, and installation of the public art."
